I have written to Solihull Council to object to the proposal for up to 285 dwellings on Land at Widney Manor Road and Brows Lane. This scheme fails to demonstrate the exceptional circumstances to justify the loss of precious Green Belt land and proposes an incomplete road network that will harm the local area.
I share the concerns of my constituents near to the site about the limited road capacity and the significant impact a development of this scale will have on local infrastructure. Irrespective of development, road improvements and careful junction design is essential on Browns Lane, Smiths Lane, and along Widney Manor Road towards Solihull.
There is no justification for this scheme, especially considering the scale of proposed development across my constituency.
