.

Earlier this week Saqib held a Westminster Hall Debate on Stop and Search.

Saqib commented "The use of Stop and Search is a critical tool of the Police in reducing rates of knife crime and it must be used effectively to lower rates of crime involving the use of a blade.

Here in the West Midlands we know all too well the pain and loss that comes with a high rate of knife crime and during my speech I made reference to but a few of the heart breaking incidents that we have seen only recently.

The West Midlands has a higher rate of knife crime than London, the highest rate of knife crime in the United Kingdom. This is unacceptable.
