On Friday I had a meeting with the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, alongside neighbouring MP Neil Shastri-Hurst.
Their message was clear: the relentless push for more housebuilding is coming at too high a cost to our natural environment.
They are urging the Government to rethink this approach, to stop prioritising concrete over countryside.
Nature is not a luxury. It supports our mental health, our communities, and even reduces pressure on the NHS. Once it’s gone, we don’t get it back. We need homes, yes, but not at the expense of the green spaces that keep us healthy and grounded.
The protection of our greenbelt and our environment is essential when considering the legacy we will leave for future generations.
I will stand with all those who will stand up to protect our precious greenbelt.
Thank you for the birdhouses- a great example of craftivism !
