It was a real pleasure to join the Solihull Men’s Walking and Talking group last week for one of their regular walks around Brueton and Malvern Park.
What started as a simple community walk back has become something incredibly powerful, bringing men together to talk openly, support one another, and tackle loneliness and mental health challenges side by side. The group provides a welcoming, non-judgemental space where conversations happen naturally, one step at a time.
A huge thank you to all the volunteers who give their time to make these walks possible. It was inspiring to hear how the group has grown and the positive impact it is having across Solihull.
Too often, people struggle in silence. Initiatives like this show the importance of community, connection, and simply checking in on one another.
If you’re looking for support, company, or just a good walk and chat, I would strongly encourage you to get involved with Solihull Men’s Walking and Talking: https://www.facebook.com/groups/979957890699518/
