Meriden WI Visit Parliament

.

It was a real pleasure to welcome members of the Meriden Women’s Institute to Parliament yesterday.

It was wonderful to spend time together, sharing the rich history of this iconic building. We were also able to visit St Mary’s Undercroft beneath St Stephen’s Hall, a hidden gem that is so often overlooked, yet full of fascinating stories from our past.

One of the ladies asked if I was still supportive about a post office returning to Meriden village – I still am! And I have told the Post Office this.

Thank you to everyone who joined the tour, I hope you enjoyed the visit as much as I did!
