I am proud that the Conservatives were the only party to stand against this bill to nationalise steel. They cannot guarantee how much it will cost, it gives sweeping powers to the government and more fundamentally governments cannot run
businesses.
This legislation will make us weaker and with impending tariffs and reduced quotas the government is artificially pushing up prices and taxpayers will end up footing the bill
