I am pleased that Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council has now approved plans to progress Phase 2 of the Kingshurst Regeneration Project.
When I first became the Conservative candidate for Meriden back in 2019, one of the very first things I did was meet with the then Mayor of the West Midlands, Sir Andy Street, right here in Kingshurst. Together, we began lobbying for the vital funding needed to breathe new life into this community. I’m proud to say that our work paid off and this project is now well on its way to transforming Kingshurst for generations to come.
I welcome the council’s approval of Phase 2 of the project. This phase will deliver a state-of-the-art Community, Health and Retail building, bringing GP and public health services, a library, community spaces, and new retail units to the heart of Kingshurst Village. Construction is expected to start in 2026.
I look forward to seeing the project progress over the coming year!
