Yesterday in Parliament, I was proud to raise the incredible work of Mikey Akers and the campaign we have been championing together, alongside Chris Kamara, to secure additional resources for speech and language therapy in our schools.
Far too many children are being left without the support they need to find their voice, build confidence, and reach their full potential. This is not just an educational issue, it’s about fairness, opportunity, and giving every child the best possible start in life.
Mikey’s determination and courage continue to inspire me, and I am grateful to Chris Kamara for helping shine a national spotlight on this vital cause.
Let me be absolutely clear: I will not stop fighting for the resources our schools and children deserve. Every child should have access to the support they need to succeed, and I will keep pushing until that becomes a reality.
