It was a privilege to host a roundtable in Parliament with Teach First this week as Shadow Education Minister.
Teach First does vital work supporting teachers and school leaders in communities facing the greatest challenges, helping ensure that every child regardless of background has access to a great education.
We had an open and constructive discussion about what more can be done to improve our children’s futures: from supporting and retaining teachers, to tackling disadvantage and ensuring schools have the resources they need to help every young person thrive.
Holding the government to account on education matters, and working alongside organisations like Teach First, is essential if we are serious about delivering a brighter future for our children. I’m grateful to everyone who took part and shared their expertise and experience.
