After a busy week in Westminster, there’s nothing quite like returning to the heart of the constituency and spending time with the incredible people of Meriden and Solihull East.
This past weekend, I had the absolute pleasure of attending Dorridge Day, one of the most cherished events in our Solihull calendar. Despite the weather, the atmosphere was electric! From families and neighbours to community groups and local charities, it was a fantastic celebration of everything that makes our area so special!
A huge thank you to the brilliant teams at Knowle & Dorridge Round Table, Dorridge 41 Club, and the Knowle & Dorridge Ladies Circle. Their tireless work behind the scenes is what makes events like this possible. Months of planning, organising, and volunteering go into creating such a memorable day and their dedication truly shines through.
I couldn’t help but smile at the fully armoured medieval knights wandering around Dorridge! Not something you see every day, and a big hit with young and old alike.
Let’s not forget the real impact, the money raised on the day goes directly to support local charities and causes, helping those who need it most right here in our community. That’s what makes it so special.
It was also inspiring to see so many young people getting involved volunteering, helping, and making the day run smoothly. The future of our community is in good hands.
