It was a real pleasure to welcome pupils from Balsall Common Primary School to the Houses of Parliament last week!
The pupils had a fantastic tour of the Palace of Westminster and asked some brilliant, thoughtful questions about democracy, leadership, and how Parliament works. It’s always inspiring to see such curiosity and enthusiasm from young people learning about how decisions are made and how they can shape the future.
As part of their London trip, they also visited Downing Street, which made the experience even more memorable and really brought their classroom learning to life.
A big thank you to the teachers and staff for organising such a great visit.
I’d encourage schools across Meriden and Solihull East to keep engaging with Parliament, these visits are so important in helping young people understand our democracy and their role within it.
