Great to be out yesterday with the Shadow Secretary of State for Transport, Richard Holden MP and the Leader of the Opposition, Kemi Badenoch MP, discussing the issues that matter most to drivers across Meriden and Solihull East.
Potholes aren’t just an inconvenience, they damage vehicles, cost families money, and make everyday journeys more stressful.
That’s why I’m backing the Conservative Party’s clear commitment to fund a £112.5 million pothole patrol, that will tackle this problem head-on, get potholes filled and make sure our roads are properly maintained.
Residents tell me time and time again, there is a clear and noticeable difference between Conservative run Solihull and Labour run Birmingham when it comes to filling in potholes. The answer is a clear one, only a Conservative-led council will deliver the long-term investment and action needed to fix our roads and stand up for motorists.
We’re focused on practical solutions, not excuses, and making sure taxpayers see real results where it matters most.
I’ll keep pushing to ensure our area gets the attention and funding it deserves.
