A very constructive and productive roundtable on Friday with the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, alongside my colleagues Sir Andrew Mitchell MP, Neil Shastri-Hurst MP and other fellow local representatives.
As a former President of the Greater Birmingham Chamber, it was a pleasure to join business leaders who I have had the pleasure to work alongside for years, moving our region forwards and who create the jobs that are vital to our region.
We had a valuable discussion with businesses from across the region about the opportunities and challenges they are facing, and crucially how we can work together to support them. From boosting growth and skills to improving access to finance and unlocking investment.
I’m grateful to everyone who took the time to share their insights. Supporting local businesses and ensuring the West Midlands remains a great place to invest, work and grow will continue to be a top priority for me.
