Today, on Armed Forces Day, we come together to honour the extraordinary courage, commitment and sacrifice of the men and women who serve, and have served, in our Armed Forces.
I want to pay tribute to veterans across the country and across the borough of Solihull. Your dedication to protecting our country, often in the most challenging circumstances, has safeguarded the freedoms we enjoy every day.
We also remember the families who stand beside our service personnel, sharing in the sacrifices that military life demands. Their support is an essential part of our nation’s defence.
